Such a wonderful stay. Great communication, easy to find and great location with all amenities as described. Perfect, quiet oasis and wonderful host. Couldn't fault a thing. Thank you Jan.

Jan welcomes you with a big smile and even bigger enthousiasm! She made us lovely diner and breakfast. Very lovely lady to talk to and have a laugh with. She is an ultrarunner and give us great tips for hikes in the area. Marvelous location with an unheard rest, just bush noises, nothing else.

Jan is a fantastic host, super friendly, beautiful home, super comfortable bed/room and learnt some new tips about healthy meal choices. Breakfast prepared was delicious and full of new flavour combinations. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Beet Retreat! The location was perfect, the accommodations were very comfortable, the food was magnificant (I highly recommend the Moroccan Stew), the host was friendly, funny and insightful, and the welcome crew of Mac and the kittys made for a relaxing experience. I highly recommend staying here if you want to see Noosa and the Tablelands region. You will enjoy not only the area, but will also have the chance to try some amazing vegetarian food creations! We can't wait to go back. 🙂

Great place to stay especially if you want piece and quiet with plenty of activities to do nearby. The host is super friendly and the food is delicious. Highly recommend 👍

Late review but well overdue and deserved. Amazing host with the cutest furbabies. Beautiful home and out of this world home cooked vegan food made by the host as part of the stay package. 2 years later and still raving about the cheesecake and curry. Would recommend to everyone.

Whenever I hear the word retreat, I immediately think cult but if the Beet Retreat is a cult, then sign me up as a devotee pronto! My vegan partner & I (non-vegan) stayed at the oasis is the Beet Retreat for 2…no make that 3 amazing, gastronomic & idyllic nights over the new year period at the beginning of 2024.Over the 3 days we enjoyed the serenity of Jan’s amazing home, the mastery of her culinary skills (Plus her sparking conversations & stories) & her beautiful fur babies Smoxie, Crazy Cat & they charismatic Mac who charmed his way into my partners heart in a flash. After having spent Christmas in the Brisbane suburbs with friends & their young children the retreat was the ideal place to unwind & usher in the new year while farewelling a sometimes difficult 2023.Jan is the ultimate host & possibly should write an autobiography of her amazing & inspiring journey & immediately makes you feel welcome & like an old friend. Our visit both inspired & renewed us & my partner is now trying Jan’s recipes in our own home & brining a pinch of the Beet Retreat magic back to Melbourne. One question though.. Where’s the Beets?!

This is a little bit of heaven on earth that does your heart and soul good. Beautiful house, amazing food, fantastic company and conversations and gorgeous animal family too. I don’t know why I waited so long to visit but I’ll definitely be back. It was exactly what I needed after a busy few years and a step back from work. Time to breathe and recharge again and a few days is all it takes. I stayed in the delightful sunrise room, large and airy and a super comfy bed, with huge ensuite and walk in robe. I booked evening meals along with the b&b and Jan’s a whizz in the kitchen. Everything she made was delicious and satisfying. Sleeping with the doors open listening to nature and getting up to see kangaroos grazing in the garden was something else. Do yourself a favour and come check this place out. Only 20 minutes drive to Noosa Heads and surrounding waterways. The beautiful Beet Retreat 🌱🙏

I spent a week at the Beet Retreat and initially I had my reservations coming in. I struggle with high anxiety and other mental health conditions, so the whole premise of travelling was already quite scary for me. However upon arriving, Jan really helped and held space for me through these hurdles I faced.Through the very interactive experience the Beet Retreat offered. I began to find my love of food again as a form of self-love, being inspired to pursue my creative interests, conquered a mountain trek after years of inactivity, saw the most gorgeous wildlife, and took sunrises strolls on the beach that I cherish to this day. I reflect on my time at the beet retreat as not only a chance to recharge and relax, but as a safe place I could really take time to explore myself and unpack my feelings without judgement. My week away wasn't just relaxing it was really helpful in building my self-esteem and confidence again. I went from wanting to go home on the second night, to staying the whole week and wishing I could never leave. Jan's energy is just light and empowering. She cares, listens, and learns about what you need. For anyone who is thinking about this experience for themselves I highly recommend it. If anything, you'll walk away with

Relax and Revitalise ?
Recently took a 3night break at The Beet Retreat in Noosa. Day 1 started with a sunrise hike which was spectacular and the breakfast waffles were worth getting up for themselves…AMAZING. Our 3 night package included B&B each day, a cooking class, guided walks, The Beet Retreat food guide and Meal Planner, use of the infrared sauna and animal therapy on tap with Mac, KK, Sox & Subi. To say Jan went and above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect would be an understatement. What Jan doesn’t advertise is all the complimentary extras she provides, she does t even know she’s doing it as it’s just second nature to her!! We had so many free additional cooking classes, a cheese making class, a lemon tart making class and basically every meal was potential to learn new skills to pimp up my cooking repertoire. This woman gives so much of herself to her guests ( this is our second staynSo I know it wasn’t a one off, she’s always like this!!!) Jan has a wealth of knowledge of health, fitness, vegan cooking and her local area. I could talk endlessly about the benefits of a stay here but I think it’s better you just book a stay and experience it for yourselves. Thanks Jan for EVERYTHING!!!

A True Retreat
Jan really does create a retreat and time to restore. With great food, beautiful surrounds and lovely accomodation, it’s well worth it. We felt looked after and we’ll nourished and enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Jan!

I've just spent 3 relaxing nights at The Beet Retreat. This place is somewhere you can wind down and get back to nature. The vegan B&B offers whole food plant base cooking classes which is a fun way to learn how to cook delicious meals. There are so many activities at your doorstep in the beautiful Noosa hinterland. I would recommend this stay to anyone as I didn't have to lift a finger, your host Jan will cater to your every need.

A VERY RELAXING TIME WITH A LOT OF ACTIVITIES AT YOUR DOORSTEP.
Such a great relaxing experience. The room is beautiful and the bed was so comfy. Jan the owner and your host goes out of her way to make your stay a memorable one. The whole food plant base cooking class was fun and the food delicious ? The bush walk Jan took me on was through rainforest and she caters to your fitness level. A very enjoyable stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing host, amazing food and amazing experience - all this I’ve found at The Beet Retreat - Vegan B&B! If you want to be spoiled with vegan homemade and nourishing food, that’s the place to go. It’s not only about the food but way more. I’ll definitely be back there!

Highly recommended vegan B&B!

If you're after a vacation/retreat tailored to your needs, The Beet Retreat is the place to go. You can equally spend the days relaxing on the deck, reading a book, exploring the local area and markets, or challenge yourself with some of Jan's adventure activities. Jan is a warm and welcoming host, who prepares lovely plant-based meals around your likes/dislikes - recipes included! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

If you have no appetite for reading a long review then the gist of what I have to say is this: the Beet Retreat is an exceptional place to stay and you'll be thinking back on your time there for many months to come. For those that have room for more, let me explain to you why you won't regret signing up to the 7-night Empower Retreat with Jan at the Beet Retreat in Coorooibah.Jan, her dog Mac and her three cats Smoxy, Krazy Kat and Subi will give you the warmest of welcomes when you arrive, with her animals competing for who can get the most pats/rubs.The retreat is run from Jan's home which is a beautiful property, set alongside stunning native bush. For those looking for a relaxing time there are hammocks a plenty to sit and enjoy a good book, swaying in the gentle breeze. Or you can take part in a yoga session underneath the veranda while the local birds look on. Her home is so peaceful and quiet, it is a haven from the hustle and bustle of every day life.If you're more of the active sort, like myself, you can make use of Jan's personal gym and sauna and benefit from Jan's extensive knowledge of the local trails either for a short relaxing walk or a challenging yet ultimately rewarding run through the native tropical forests. I would recommend joining her in a climb up mount Cooroora to watch the early morning sunshine. The view is stunning and well worth the effort! The beauty of the retreat is that it's tailored to you; Jan will accommodate your needs and you'll plan what activities you want to do each day. The same can be said for the delicious vegan food that is served. Each meal is prepared in front of you, and the 7-night Empower Retreat includes a cooking class; I was particularly eager to learn new recipes, tips and tricks and Jan is all too happy to share her knowledge. To wrap up, my week at Beet Retreet was exactly what I needed to forget the stresses of work. The time spent with Jan was a delight, the conversations we had a joy, and her perspective of life insightful. I whole heartily recommend a visit.

We had an absolute blast this last week with Jan at the Beet retreat. Jan is a wonderful person- so kind and joyous. She helped remind us of the importance of nature, movement and healthy delicious cruelty free food. So many beautiful lifestyle and cooking tips to take away with us in our lives going forward. This is one of the best retreats l have ever been on. Jan tailors everything to suit her guests' needs. Whether you want yoga/ weights/ walks/ hikes/ runs or just chilling in her beautiful house and garden. She will create a bespoke experience in a way that no other retreat l have been on has ever done. The house and bedroom we stayed in are luxurious and stylish. The animals ( Mac the kelpie, Krazy Kat, Smoxy and Subi ( 3 lovely cats!) ) are all gorgeous and well behaved. The property has kangaroos and birds visiting too. We absolutely loved it! Best food l have ever had! Will be looking forward to coming again! I feel so rested and refreshed. Thanks Jan and your fur and feather family for being wonderful!

The best and most bespoke retreat in Australia
Jan is such a warm , joyous and caring person. Her home is a haven of piece and kindness. Her dog and 3 kitties are beautifully behaved and very affectionate. She has visiting birds and kangaroos in the garden. Jan took us for glorious hikes and runs in parts of the hinterland which we would never have found by ourselves and did yoga sessions and weights with us. We wanted an active holiday but Jan also accommodates less active people and completely tailors the retreat and meals to the visitors. This is why this is so unique. The food was absolutely delicious. After a week on the Empower retreat we feel rested and empowered to take the good health habits home with us. Thanks so much Jan and the little furry helpers ( Mac, KK, Smoxy and Subi).

Fabulous B&B in the Sunshine Coast hinterland
I had a wonderful 3 night stay with Jan and her pets at The Beet Retreat in Cooroibah on the Sunshine Coast. I’d stayed at The Beet Retreat when it was in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, and couldn’t wait to experience it again in Queensland. What a fabulous, relaxing, tranquil environment. I was in need of some serious R&R and this was the perfect place for it. Jan is an amazing host, friendly and helpful, and her cooking (all vegan) is THE BEST! The B&B is clean, the beds are comfy, and the breakfasts are nutritious and delicious. I would definitely recommend having Jan cook dinner for you at least one night, and if you have time available ask her for a cooking class too. If she suggests a sunrise hike up Mount Cooroora, go for it! It’s a steep hike to the top but absolutely worth it. I highly recommend staying at The Beet Retreat - I will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing! Stayed the 3 nights and had an incredible stay. From the warm welcome like we were old friends, to the enjoyable activities and flexible food / recipes. Jan is a wonderful, open and knowledgeable host who provides a wonderful experience. And getting to spend time with the animals was so wonderful. Can't wait to try out the recipes and plan the next visit 🙂

We LOVED our stay here! Jan and her fur family are just amazing. We only stayed for one night and felt sooo relaxed! Best sleep we had in a while, the bed is very comfy and the house ist really beautiful. We just relaxed on the terrace on we’re lucky enough that 2 very cute Parrots joined us and we spotted a lot of kangaroos (even a mom with a baby in the pouch!). This is really a slice of heaven.

Hi everyone, Spending a week at this retreat in Bali was one of the best things I have ever done. I was at a low point in my life through the various struggles of modern life and grieving what I thought my life should have been like. Spending a week with Jan and some amazing women has turned me around and made me appreciate the life I live. Jan has an amazing insight into people and their needs. We spent the week talking, doing yoga, eating amazing food, hiking, bike riding and laughing a lot. I especially liked the dance party!! I would highly recommend this retreat and would be more than happy to join in with another retreat with Jan. We all deserve a week like this! Sharon

Bali Midlife Retreat
Had a wonderful varied experience on our Bali Marvelous Midlife Retreat: staying at Tanah Shanti in Ubud. Joined a group of 9 women for a week with Jan leading us. Over the course of the week we shared some of our life stories and where we are at emotionally and physically. Jan encouraged me to value and continue to challenge myself. The days included strength training, yoga, lots of laughter and relaxing by the pool. The beautiful staff provided delicious healthy meals and were very generous with their time. Activities included a sunrise walk, a bike ride, meals out, an amazing vegan cooking class at Moksa and meals out. Amongst all this was time to relax and of course explore the area and shop. nThanks Jan for facilitating a truly relaxing week with a challenge to truly value and care for myself.

MM retreat Ubud June 2023
I attended the Marvellously Menopausal retreat in Ubud Bali June 3rd - 10th 2023nI was one of 9 women who attended this wonderful retreat. nI arrived feeling exhausted and left feeling lighter in more ways than one.nSo much about this retreat was wonderful its hard to put in to words.nThe food was incredible and was a mix of food made on site and going out. It was all whole foods plant based and delicious.nThe inhouse activities included yoga, strength based exercises, discussions about life, getting and staying active and getting older etc. There was plenty of free time to swim, get to know the other women, read and relax, and do shopping in Ubud.nActivities outside the accommodation included an amazing cooking class, sound bathing , a cycling tour and an early morning ridge walk.n It is hard to put into words how wonderful this retreat was. Jan was a wonderful insightful retreat leader.nI would highly recommend this retreat to any woman of a certain age that needs a break, wants to connect with other women, needs some direction for getting fit or staying fit, wants to age well or just wants to have fun.nThanks Jan you are awesome

Marvellously Midlife Bali Retreat
Four days after returning from the inaugural Marvellously Midlife Bali Retreat, I am still revelling in the experience. The beautiful Villa Tanah Shanti was world class, and the beautiful staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was just right for us all. nJan worked incredibly hard to make sure activities were suitable for all abilities, or could be modified as required.nIts hard to pick one highlight, as there were so many. The incredible cooking class at Moksa with renowned Chef Madre had us all buzzing with excitement. Such a hands on experience, and sublime food creations...with all of us keen to recreate back home (recipes provided). nAncient Sound Healing experience at Pyramids of Chi got us into the mood to let go of limiting thoughts and come to a place of surrender.nShort sunrise hike, bike tour around rice fields allowed us opportunity to soak up beautiful views and culture.nThe food for the week was sublime. Healthy and nutritious, and a feast for the eyes, soul, not to mention stomachs :)nVicki, our amazing yoga instructor had us all blissed out with her incredible yoga nidra at the end of each day, along with other yin and flow practices.nI have made some beautiful new friendships with other ladies all willing to make themselves vulnerable and open to tackle this phase of life with the vibrancy and vitality that Jan demonstrated is available to us at this age and beyond.nn

Had such a wonderful stay on the weekend with Jan in her beautiful homeTo be honest, B&B’s aren’t really my thing, but I knew this was going to be different. I enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely return. It was so comfortable and not awkward at all. Jan is like a ray of sunshine, so bright, happy and welcoming, as is her fur fam, but all are also respectful of space too if that’s not your thing. For me it was 100% better being all vegan, but don’t let that deter you if you are not, because the food was ahh-mazing and definitely a good insight into how healthy and delicious living vegan can be!The whole house is beautifully styled and clean. The Sunrise room which I stayed in was roomy and the bed was super comfy, like sleeping on a cloud! It had its own private deck with the best swinging hammock chair - which was def a highlight.Couldn’t rate it highly enough and would definitely recommend staying here!

Best vegan BNb experience ever!
Hands down the best vegan BNb experience in Australia. It’s not just a space to lay your head down at night, but a destination in itself because it is hosted by a warm, friendly person who makes her guests feel right at home. The Noosa area is gorgeous and was nice to explore but the best part of our holiday was relaxing at The Beet Retreat, having delicious and nutritious home cooked meals made for us, communing with the furry residents, and having meaningful conversations with host Jan. nThis was, infact, our third stay at the Beet Retreat, though our first time in its Queensland location. Our number one motivation for repeat visits is the hosts - human and non human alike!

Such a wonderful experience.
Jan and her fur fam are very welcoming and the room was gorgeous and spacious, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a private outdoor sitting area and entrance. I did the 7-day empowerment retreat and my partner joined me later. The food was delicious and doing the walks in some gorgeous locations was a lovely experience. I hope to be able to return again someday.

I stayed at The Beet Retreat as I was running in the annual Noosa Ultra Trail event - I had been following Jan on Instagram for a while, and this provided the perfect excuse to visit! While it was super convenient for the event, the location overall is fantastic - just a short drive to Noosa, but far enough away from the hustle so you can truly relax. The property is set in a beautiful patch of bush, with native gardens that attract a wonderful assortment of native wildlife, including a little kangaroo family. The house itself is lovely - cool and tranquil, with plenty of spaces to relax, snooze or do some yoga. I stayed at the same time as a couple who were also participating in the trail event (hello to new friends!). Jan took such great care of us, and as a runner herself, made sure we were all properly fuelled and prepped for our race.Jan is so passionate about what she does, and was such an amazing host. Even if you're not plant based I would highly recommend one of the retreats so you can experience Jan's wonderful cooking. The meals are absolutely delicious and I never felt anything but fully satisfied. Jan also has an e-book you can buy so you can recreate some of the tasty Beet Retreat recipes at home 😋Thank you Jan for a wonderful stay! I will certainly be looking for my next 'excuse' to come back 🥰 💚

I had the pleasure of staying at The Beet Retreat when it was in Victoria, when I did a 3 Day Empower Retreat, so I was certainly aware of Jan's amazing hospitality and incredible meals. This time my husband Ray joined me. What an absolutely stunning location! Just a short drive to Noosa, but just far enough out of town to experience the beauty of the bush surrounds. We were participating in a trail run while we were staying (as was Jan, and her other guest Tash). Jan made sure we were all suitably fed pre and post run, not to mention the rest of our stay ( we stayed for 3 nights). The fur family were beautiful and affectionate with Mac the kelpie seeming to know we were missing our own pooch 🐶❤️. The home is beautiful and we felt very relaxed...morning yoga on the veranda with kangaroos grazing nearby, reading, with a wide variety of books and magazines to choose from, and napping in the afternoon in the hammock. Jan is the consummate host, and catered to our every need. Our absolute highlight was a challenging hike this morning (guided by Jan) up to Mt Cooroora to catch the sunrise 🌅. Her enthusiasm and passion for what she does is infectious. Thanks Jan 🥰

Hi my name is Lozz and I had the amazing opportunity to be spoilt and surprised with the gift from my children of a 7 day Empowerment Retreat with Jan at the Beet Retreat . The timing could not have been better. The experience was one of those once in a lifetime experiences that actually changed my life for the better. The retreat itself is so beautiful and quiet and relaxing. The food was amazing and Jan shared her recipes and knowledge. The care , support and nurturing Jan gives is truely first class. I walked away with a new direction in my life. I was exercising and eating healthy and making positive plans and focus for my future. Nothing was ever too hard for her. She spent so much one on one time but I still had my time to sit and soak up the amazing place I was in. A trip to the movies one night, going to the markets and spending wonderful time with her animals and veggie patch. Thank you Jan from the bottom of my heart for the most most amazing week. You are one of a kind. I am so looking forward to joining you in Bali in June for another brillant women's retreat. 👍🏻💕😊🌻

Peaceful, comfortable & supremely accomodating
We were lucky enough to spend two nights at The Beet Retreat during our first visit to Noosa. Jan the host could not have been more friendly and accomodating and we loved getting to know her and her gentle companion animals too. The Sunrise Room was beautiful, clean, fresh and peaceful and it was lovely to have the spacious attached ensuite. Our two included breakfasts were delicious, nourishing and obviously prepared with love, as was our dinner the first night that we booked separately. Although we spent most of our time out and about, Jan was happy for us to tailor our stay to suit our needs, including use of her TV room, yoga space etc., so really this accomodation would suit all sorts of travellers. Cant recommend highly enough, thanks again Jan!

Jan has it all! An amazing place, prepares and cooks amazing food and the energy of the place is just wonderful. And Jan herself is super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We had the best time. Loved all the animals too. The surroundings. The nature. The tranquility. Heaven on earth you could say 🙂We were welcomed with open arms into Jan’s amazing home. You won’t regret staying there! Just so idyllic and lovely. Thanks Jan for a wonderful stay - we only wish it could’ve been longer! 🙌 Big hugs. Nick & Ian 🙂

We loved our nights stay at The Beet Retreat. Such a great location for exploring Noosa and the surrounding area. Jan was an amazing host too, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We would definitely return if staying in the area again

The Warmest of Welcomes
I cant believe the warm welcome we had to this beautiful home in the woods. With a docile dog, the amazing Mac and three cool cats, Smoxy, Krazy and Subi! Everything is so clean, so fresh - everything is imbued with so much love and warmth - combined with skill and talent. Jan even helped me with strengthening exercises to practice each day like a sit to stand practice to help with leg strength. Before each meal we would do 5 sit to stand to form a new healthy habit! n Jans meals were sublime and so healthy and nourishing. WE go home with so much more knowledge and inspiration. A truly relaxing and refreshing 3 night stay in the beautiful Sunrise Room. So much love and care - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Jan. nnJean (83) and John xxx

We had a wonderful overnight stay and Jan is an amazing host. Spotlessly clean and very quiet with the bonus of delicious meals prepared by Jan. Look forward to our next visit.
